McCaw's girl swept off her feet in UK

Kiw saltation star and All Black captain Richie McCaw's girlfriend Hayley Holt is beingness swept off her feet by a hunky Olympics swim star.

But the blond babe's All Blacks backbreaking man swain Richie McCaw doesn't demand to worry.

All the moves world freestyle sprint star Mark Foster is putting on Hayley are dance floor ones, as they prepare for the hit UK television show Strictly Come Dancing.

Ballroom and Latin champion Hayley and he are one of eight-spot couples competing in the sixth series of the programme, which pairs celebrities with professional dancers.

"She was just completely rapt to be invited on to the render and she's having a great time," Hayley's agent Sara Tetro, director of 62 Models and Talent told Sunday News.

"It's an extraordinary chance for anyone involved in that course of study it's a massively high-rating show."

Hayley has been partnered with sports pinups Brendon Pongia and Danyon Loader in the New Zealand version of the show Dancing with the Stars.

But it's some other Kiwi in the Strictly Come Dancing lineup world Health Organization has dominated headlines for off-screen tangoing.

Christchurch ballroom angiotensin converting enzyme Brendan Cole - now dating Brit model Zoe Hobbs - was romantically linked to Brit news presenter Natasha Kaplinsky when he partnered her on the UK show, and with contestant Nicky Watson when he was judgement Dancing with the Stars.

But the New Zealand Lothario's partner for the forthcoming Strictly Come Dancing series, Brit supermodel Lisa Snowdon, has a Hollywood pedigree - she dated A-list actor George Clooney.

While Brendan's in Clooney's shadow in the love stakes, he's determined not to be outdone in the macho department by pro Brit dancer James Jordan, an insider revealed.

"Brendan and James have the most testosterone," the source said.

"They'll constantly be doing press and sit-ups. There's a punchbag in the studio which they lay into and they hang from the rafters competing doing chin-ups."

Brendan, returning for his fifth straight season, isn't afraid to go toe-to-toe with the judges either.

In the third and fourth series, he clashed with the judges particularly Craig Revel-Horwood over marking and comments on his performances.

He also deliberately stone-broke the rules by incorporating illegal lifts into his choreography, and as a result, has been referred to as the "bad boy of Strictly".

Ironically he and Craig are both judges on the New Zealand show, where their jibes directed at each other don't go unnoticed.

Meanwhile, the social dancer Hayley replaced on Strictly Come Dancing last week slammed the show's producers claiming the dancers are paid the same as a worker in McDonald's.

"The amount we got paid compared to the hours we actually put in rehearsing and performing meant we were on the minimum wage," Nicole Cutler told Britain's News of the World newspaper.

"The money was so bad we could get got virtually the same at McDonald's. We're the only people in the show wHO work 16 hours a day, seven-spot days a week.

"Sometimes it feels like we don't have time to eat on or sleep."

Nicole claimed she, Brendan, and other professional dancers on the last-place series deliberate they earned the equivalent of $15.60 an hour - just 70 cents more than than the UK minimum wage.

But their earnings were nothing like that of host Bruce Forsyth, wHO reportedly takes home $1.2 million per series.

Other top celebrities in this series include actress Cherie Lunghi, late tennis player Andrew Castle, TV presenter Christine Bleakley, ex rugger union ace Austin Healey, soap opera star Gillian Taylforth, role player Don Warrington, pop vocaliser Heather Small, TV chef Fary Rhodes, actress Jessica Wallace, British broadcaster and author John Sargeant, supermodel Jodie Kidd, TV star Phil Daniels, singer Rachel Stevens and actor Tom Chambers.

Then there's Radiohead. The most anticipated act of the 2008 festival's

R Kelly - Fbi Expert Says R Kelly Sex Tape Is Genuine

A forensic video expert has denied that images in the video allegedly showing R Kelly having sex with an underage girl could have been faked.

George Skaluba, a Forensic Video Examiner with the US Federal Bureau of Investigation, said he believed the tape showed "real people in a real environment", according to the Associated Press news agency.

The I Believe I Can Fly star is accused of filming himself engaging in sex acts with a girl who prosecutors say may have been as young as 13 at the time.

And after a former employee of the singer said she was "110 per cent" sure that the footage in question showed the R 'n' B hitmaker, Skaluba said the likelihood of the tape having been digitally altered was slim.

"It would be very, very time consuming and very hard to do," Skaluba said.

However, he stressed that the tape was "a copy, several generations away from the original" and said he could not say whether than man seen in the video was Kelly or a lookalike.

The trial was adjourned on Thursday after prosecutors requested more time to interview a potential defence witness before his testimony.

The as-yet-unknown man is alleged to have contacted Kelly's defence team claiming he could impeach the testimony of a prosecution witness.

Before the adjournment, video expert Grant Fredericks had shown the jury potentially incriminating freeze frames from the video.

Kelly's lawyer Samuel Adam Jr had said that while Kelly has a "significant" coin-sized mole on his back - going so far as to show the jury pictures of the singer's blemish - the man in the footage did not appear to have a mole.

However, Fredericks compared a still photo taken of Kelly's back, which showed the mole, with frames from the footage which showed a dark spot in the same position.

The trial continues.

John Grisham's 'Pizza' gets pickup

Phoenix Pictures nabs film rights to best-selling novel

Phoenix Pictures has picked up the movie rights to John Grisham's best-selling novel "Playing for Pizza."

The company's Mike Medavoy, Arnie Messer and David Thwaites will produce.

The story centers on a washed-up NFL quarterback who finds a new perspective on life and a love for all things Italian when his agent lands him a deal to play with a semi-professional team in Parma, Italy. The novel is one of Grisham's' few non-legal tomes, and it ironically came together when the lawyer-turned-author was in Italy researching "The Broker."

A search for a writer in the project is under way, with the company looking to put together the project in a similar fashion it did with "Zodiac" and the Martin Scorsese/Leonardo DiCaprio project "Shutter Island," which is in production for Paramount.

A Grisham adaptation was a Hollywood staple for much of the 1990s, with such translations as "The Firm," "The Client," "The Pelican Brief," "The Chamber," "A Time to Kill" and "Runaway Jury." "Christmas With the Kranks" also was a Grisham adaptation, based on the novel "Skipping Christmas."

George Clooney's Smokehouse is developing "The Innocent Man," Grisham's sole nonfiction work.

Grisham is repped by the Gernert Co.

German post-techno duo Mouse on Mars is among a growing number of electronic music groups dabbling in complex, heavily hybridized forms that include everything from ambient, techno, and knight to rock, jazz, and jungle. The combined efforts of Andi Toma and Jan St. Werner (of Köln and Düsseldorf, severally), Mouse on Mars formed in 1993, reportedly when Werner and Toma met either at a decease alloy concert or a health food store. Working from Werner's studio, the pair fused an admiration for the early experiments of Krautrock outfits like Can, Neu!, Kluster, and Kraftwerk into an offbeat update including influences from the burgeoning German techno and ambient scenes. A demo of material found its way to London-based guitar-ambient mathematical group Seefeel, wHO passed it on to the offices of their label, Too Pure.

MOM's first single, "Frosch," was released by the label presently after and was also included on the debut album, Vulvaland. Immediately hailed for its beguiling, imaginative edge that seemed to baulk all efforts at easy "schublade" (an even less flattering approximation of the English "pigeonhole"), Vulvaland was reissued in 1995 by (oddly) Rick Rubin's American Recordings judge, which too released their follow-up, Iaora Tahiti, shortly after. More offbeat and varied than their debut, the album made some inroads into the American market place, simply the group's middling challenging complexity and steady refusal to pander make widespread popularity unbelievable. They returned in 1997 with three dissimilar releases -- the EP Memory cache Coeur Naif, the LP Autoditacker, and the vinyl-only Instrumentals. Another vinyl-only going (Glam) appeared in 1998, and was followed a twelvemonth after by the "official" follow-up to Autoditacker, Niun Niggung.

Although remixes ar rare, Mouse on Mars began coming into court with increasing frequence on compilations of experimental electronic music, including Volume's popular Spell Europe Express series. They were likewise prominently featured on a pair of tribute albums -- Folds and Rhizomes and In Memoriam -- dedicated to French poststructuralist philosopher Gilles Deleuze. Idiology, which introduced Dodo Nkishi into the plica, followed in 2000 on Thrill Jockey. In 2004, the duo far-famed a decade's worth of work with the discharge of Chemical group Connector and a spheric tour, which was captured by 2005's concert album Live04. The next year's hard-hitting Varcharz was released by Ipecac. St. Werner likewise has recorded as half of the duet Microstoria (with Oval's Markus Popp) and solo as Lithops.

The Hoosiers: 'We Want Our Next Album to Have More Balls'

HoosiersThe Hoosiers frontman Irwin Sparkes says he wants the band's second album to have "more balls" than their debut number one album The Trick To Life.

"The whole sound and production has got to change," says Sparkes. "We are thinking it has got to have some more edge and more balls and even sound like a live band.

"With the next album we want to explore more of what this current album hasn't got -- edge."

Drummer Al Sharlando added, "If we came back with a second album and sounded like Queens of The Stone Age then people will slate you, so there has to be a balance.

"We want to have a long career and change gradually, keep it interesting. "

However, despite the band's success, they won't be going wild with their cash.

Irwin, 26, added, "My mate is trying to get me to buy a Lamborghini, but then I was trying to tell him that I haven't got the money.

"I think it would also be ridiculous to buy a car like that and think: 'Well done - Ethiopia could have eaten for a day, but instead I'm driving this.'

"It would be hard to justify."

Cable Company Says New Device Will Network Everything

Time Warner Cable is developing a technology that will allow its subscribers to view videos transmitted via the Internet on their TV sets, the company's CEO, Glenn Britt, said Friday. Speaking at an investors' conference in New York, Britt described the device that the company is working on as "a new wireless cable modem that will allow you to network everything in your house." He did not say what he meant by "everything," nor did he describe how the device would resolve the most complex problem of bringing Internet video to the TV monitor -- its fuzziness on a large screen. Separately, Britt told the Wall Street Journal that if broadcast and cable networks continue to provide programming for free on the Internet that they had better reconsider their pricing to cable companies, which currently pay them a retransmission fee. "People should think things through before they just go willy-nilly putting things on the Internet," he said.
